'Halo 5' news: Arena Req Bundle up for sale Feb. 16

A new microtransaction will soon be made available to "Halo 5" players.

The microtransaction, known as the Arena Req Bundle, will deliver new items to players. The new items may very well include additional weapons, pieces of armor and even skins, although players will not know exactly what they will be receiving upon purchasing the Arena Req Bundle since all of its contents will be randomized.

Aside from all the randomized gear that "Halo 5" players can receive via the Arena Req Bundle, they will also be given the Mark V Alpha armor set as an additional gift. For those who may not be familiar with the Mark V Alpha armor set, it is the collection of equipment that has been inspired by Master Chief's armor in "Halo: Combat Evolved."

It's worth noting that the Req packs that will be coming via the bundle are not going to be released all at once. Instead, they will be arriving in pairs, meaning "Halo 5" players will be getting two new Req packs per week over the span of nearly two months.

The new Arena Req Bundle for "Halo 5" will be available for $24.99 and will be up for sale starting Feb. 16, according to Halo Waypoint.

Also, only one purchase of the Arena Req Bundle is permitted for each Xbox Live account.

The Arena Req Bundle will also be taking the spot previously occupied by the Warzone Req Bundle inside "Halo 5's" in-game store, GameSpot reported.

With the Arena Req Bundle now designated as the "featured" offering inside the in-game store, that should make it easier for players to spot and purchase it.

The previously "featured" Warzone Req Bundle will also remain on sale for $24.99 even upon the arrival of "Halo 5's" latest microtransaction.

The Warzone Req Bundle can still be purchased by "Halo 5" players via the Xbox's official website and also through the Xbox One dashboard.
