'Guild Wars 2' news: First raid now arriving

 "Guild Wars 2" official website

"Guild Wars 2" will finally be getting its first raid.

The first raid, known as Spirit Vale, is scheduled to arrive on Nov. 17, and as fans might expect, it will be bringing a lot of new content for players to enjoy, according to Gamespot.

In Spirit Vale, players will be tasked with locating and rescuing a Pact Squad that has been lost in northern Maguuma, all the while fending off the dangerous denizens of a deadly forest and combating foes that can unleash devastating magic attacks.

Along with the introduction of the game's first raid, players will now be able to tinker around with the improved Squad user interface also being added to "Guild Wars 2" in order for them to have a better chance of making it through the challenge.

Of course, no raid will be complete without the requisite rewards that make them worth completing.

First off, players will soon be able to get new pieces of ascended armor and weapons by participating in the raid.

The ascended pieces of armor and weapons that players can get will be dropped by certain bosses and they will also be divided into four distinct categories, with those being Assaulter, Defender, Healer, and Malicious, according to the game's official website.

Once a player defeats a raid boss, they will also be granted the ability to get started on putting together their legendary armor.

The raid bosses themselves will drop some unique items. Some of them may give miniature versions of themselves, while some may even provide cosmetic rewards that will definitely be in high demand inside "Guild Wars 2."

Spirit Vale is just the first of three raid wings coming to "Guild Wars 2," although a release date for the two has yet to be revealed.

The raids that will be released for "Guild Wars 2" will also be free, although players will need to have the "Heart of Thorns" expansion in order to access them.

I would suggest that, leaving out the hyperbole, these are the most significant elections since Maggie Thatcher was elected – or perhaps the Brexit referendum. What can Christians make of it all?
