Galaxy S7 rumors: Phone's release date may have been leaked

Rumors have swirled constantly around both the Galaxy S7 and the Galaxy Note 6, and now, it looks like one of those devices has a possible release date.

The new release date for the Galaxy S7 was reportedly leaked in an image that came courtesy of China Mobile.

If the image proves to be accurate, then Samsung's Galaxy S7 will be launched sometime in March 2016, Techno Buffalo reported.

The March release date is not all that surprising for those who have been following the rumors concerning the upcoming Samsung flagship. Rumors have also suggested that the Galaxy S7 will be officially announced at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) taking place in February prior to the new phone making its way to stores in March.

A March release date for the Galaxy S7 would put it about a month ahead of the S6. As folks might remember, the Galaxy S6 was released in April of this year.

The March release date would also lend credibility to the longstanding rumor that the S7 would have an earlier release date than its predecessors. At one point, the S7 was even rumored for a January release.

For what it's worth, Samsung has yet to announce anything official when it comes to the S7's release date, so the timeline can still change in the next couple of months.

Rumors also suggest that the Galaxy Note 6 could also be released earlier than expected.

Since Samsung is believed to be moving up the release date for the Galaxy S7, it would seemingly make a lot of sense for the company to do the same thing for the Galaxy Note 6, according to Value Walk.

Unlike the Galaxy S7, a specific release window for the Galaxy Note 6 has yet to emerge.

More news about the Galaxy S7 and the Galaxy Note 6 should be made available soon.
