'Final Fantasy 15,' 'Legend of Zelda' for Wii U among most anticipated releases in 2016

The year 2016 is promising to be a very big in gaming, with numerous long-awaited titles finally set to make their debuts, although some launches are less certain than others.

Unfortunately, some of the biggest games set for a 2016 launch still have no firm and exact release dates attached to them, and that's leading a lot of fans to wonder about when they might debut.

One example of a game expected to make its debut in 2016 that still lacks a firm launch date is "Final Fantasy 15." The latest installment in the fabled role-playing game (RPG) franchise has been the stuff of rumors for a long time now, and for what it's worth, Square Enix has announced that the game will definitely make its debut this year, the company just isn't willing to reveal when exactly that will be as of yet.

The lack of a specific release date could make the wait for "Final Fantasy 15" even more agonizing for some fans, although the fact that the game is already available for pre-order, as Eurogamer reported, should be a welcome sign for players.

Next up is "Legend of Zelda" for the Wii U, and similar to "Final Fantasy 15," this game similarly exists without any concrete launch date, according to PC Advisor UK.

The outlook for the Wii U's "Legend of Zelda" would seem to be a bit murkier given that Nintendo has been less open to revealing more about it, but the first few months of 2016 could easily change that.

The year 2016 might also be the year that Bungie brings "Destiny 2" to the masses.

Unlike the other two games mentioned in the article, "Destiny 2's" 2016 launch is more uncertain, given a lack of official confirmation from Bungie, though rumors have suggested that the game is already in development.

The addition of "Destiny 2" to the 2016 collection of games could make the year truly memorable for gamers.

More details about the games coming out in 2016 should be made available soon.
