'Fallout 4' tips: How customized Power Armor makes a difference

"Fallout 4" Bethesda Softworks

Power Armor can be a tough thing to manage inside "Fallout 4," but there's value to be had for those who put in the effort.

It's easy to just forget about using Power Armor since it requires so many fusion cores to use regularly, and on top of that, its individual parts also often need repairs after a stroll through the chaotic Wasteland.

Still, there are genuine benefits to be had, and even something as simple as how the player paints the Power Armor can have an impact inside the game.

Paint jobs can significantly enhance a player's charisma inside the game, and it can even increase the power of melee attacks, so it's worth taking the time to make sure the Power Armor has a nice coat of color before being used.

Some paint jobs will only become available after a bit of searching through the Wasteland, according to Game Rant.

For example, players who want to have hot pink Power Armor will first have to find a magazine located in the Parking Lot Funhouse of West Roxbury in order to make it accessible.

Some paint jobs are specific to the factions inside "Fallout 4," meaning they will take some time and effort to get.

Doing enough Railroad quests should unlock new paint that can significantly enhance the Power Armor's attributes, and there is also a point job specific to the Institute that can be acquired through completing numerous quests.

Players will also be better served to stick to using one specific color scheme when it comes to their Power Armor, according to Videogamer. This is because the statistical bonuses they will receive will be better when a single color scheme is employed, and it doesn't hurt that it will more likely look better than a mismatched ensemble.

"Fallout 4" players should also note that they will need more than a few adhesives to apply the paint jobs they want to their Power Armors, so they will need to stock up on those.
