"Fallout 4" players eager to learn more about the game's official mods will be glad to know that more details should be arriving in the near future.

Recently, a fan posed a question to the game's official Twitter account wondering about when mods might be made available for the console. In response, the game's official Twitter account indicated that the developers would be announcing more details about mods "soon."

Unfortunately, more details on what the announcement will specifically be about and when it might come out were not shared, GameSpot reported.

Still, word that more news about "Fallout 4" mods is due to arrive soon has to be a pleasant development, especially for console players.

Thus far, only personal computer (PC) players of "Fallout 4" have gotten the chance to enjoy all the many mods that have been made available for the game, and those were not even crafted using the game's official modding tools.

The official modding tools for "Fallout 4" are also not expected to arrive at the same time. Currently, it's believed that the official tools will first be released for the game's PC port, and then they will also be launched for the Xbox One. The PlayStation 4 port of "Fallout 4" is expected to be the last one to receive the modding tools.

Even without the official modding tools available, "Fallout 4" PC players have already managed to come up with some inspired creations.

For instance, one creation known as the "Robot Home Defence" mod allows players to have their very own robot companions, according to Gotta Be Mobile.

The mod created by a player known as "TheTalkieToaster" also allows robots to pitch in as helpful members of a particular settlement.

Other "Fallout 4" mods include alterations that can introduce seasons into the game, and one even allows players to wield lightsabers.

Hopefully, some of the fun mods currently available for the PC port of "Fallout 4" will also be usable for the console versions.
