'Fallout 4' cheats: Learn how to get an unfair advantage in the Wasteland

"Fallout 4" Bethesda Softworks

After constantly running out of bottlecaps or perhaps falling again to the same enemy, it can get pretty frustrating to play "Fallout 4," but fear not, because there are cheats and tips that can help players conquer this sometimes cruel landscape.

Starting with an exploit that can help players snag a boatload of caps inside the game, all they have to do is go to any merchant in the game; choose to barter; and then pick out a type of ammunition the vendor is selling and that is also in the inventory. Once that is done, the player needs to purchase all of that specific ammunition from the vendor. The next step is to sell it back, starting with only one and then the rest of it. If the glitch works, the player will have one piece of that specific ammo type in their inventory, and they can proceed to sell that as long as they want to amass as many caps as they want.

Next up is a glitch inside "Fallout 4" that can help players sneak into locked houses and buildings inside the game, according to Games Radar.

First thing the player needs to do is to find a window or any kind of gap in the wall and after that, see if there is a chair or anything to sit on near the opening. Once that is done, players can try to locate that spot on that chair that prompts a "sit" command. If done properly, the player will magically be sitting on the chair inside the building without ever having to go through the door.

Last up are some of the console commands available on the personal computer (PC) version of "Fallout 4."

First, players need to bring up the console by hitting the tilde (~) button on the keyboard, according to Cinema Blend

After that, they can type in a variety of console commands to gain special abilities, acquire items, or simply stockpile more bottlecaps.

Some console commands players will most likely want include "tgm" for god mode, "tcl" so they can simply go through walls, and also "tcai," a command that disables the combat AI inside "Fallout 4."
