'Elder Scrolls 6' release rumors: Argonia and Redguard removed as possibilities for the game?

A setting for "Elder Scrolls 6" has yet to be determined, but the latest rumors are suggesting that some locations have now been ruled out.

According to N4BB, two possible settings, those being the land of Argonia and the home of the Redguards, have now reportedly been ruled out.

Argonia is the homeland of many of the reptilian creatures inside "Elder Scrolls," while the Redguards populate a location in the franchise's lore that is believed to be predominantly occupied by sand.

Both locations had emerged as rumored settings for "Elder Scrolls 6" in the past months, and while nothing official had been announced, fans, at certain points, bought into the idea of the next game possibly taking place in one of those locations.

With those two locations reportedly out as settings for the next game, some possibilities remain.

For instance, "Skyrim 2" has been a popular suggestion for "Elder Scrolls 6," and given the success of the last game, a return to that expansive locale cannot be ruled out. "Skyrim 2" would also provide fans with an opportunity to see what that location would be like in current generation configurations.

While "Skyrim 2" remains a distinct possibility for "Elder Scrolls 6," another setting that some fans have suggested for the game is Elsweyr, according to Movie Pilot.

At first, Elsweyr may seem like an outlandish suggestion, but digging deeper reveals that the home of the Khajiits may be more suited to being a game setting that what most fans would initially believe.

First off, Elsweyr's vast dimensions make it suitable for the wandering desires of many "Elder Scrolls" players. On top of that, the land of the Khajiits is also home to various landscapes and political intrigue, which, as players will know, are crucial elements of any "Elder Scrolls" game.

It's anyone's best guess for now as to what the location of "Elder Scrolls 6" will be, but at the very least, there seem to be some very intriguing candidates.
