'Diablo 3' new patch adding more areas and making other changes to the game

 Battle Net

Patch 2.4.0 is coming to "Diablo III," and it will be bringing fans some interesting new additions to play around with.

Arguably the biggest addition coming via patch 2.4.0 is the new zone known as Greyhollow Island. According to Battle Net, Greyhollow Island is a mysterious setting known for its collection of rabid beasts and supernatural beings that will threaten anyone they encounter.

In addition to Greyhollow Island, there are two more locations inside "Diablo III" that have been expanded and are now ready and waiting for brave explorers.

First up are the Eternal Woods, a forest harboring hordes of undead creatures that can be found just beyond The Ruins of Sescheron.

Players can now also visit the Royal Quarters, another previously hidden location that is now accessible thanks to the rubble that has been cleared in Leoric's Manner.

New bounties and events can also be discovered in these mysterious parts of the "Diablo III" world.

All of the new areas that will become accessible after the arrival of patch 2.4.0 will only be reachable through Adventure Mode.

The upcoming patch for "Diablo III" will also be introducing Set Dungeons, Gamespot reported.

A clue for a specific Set Dungeon will appear only after a player has been equipped with the six different items making up a particular class set. Once the clue appears, players can follow it to find a new dungeon that has been specifically designed to test the abilities of the equipment set they are wearing. Once the dungeon has been completed, the player will receive a cosmetic reward dependent upon the class set they used.

The class sets themselves will be overhauled in patch 2.4.0, with some potentially getting enhanced and some being re-worked to ensure better parity in terms of gameplay.

Patch 2.4.0 will also be featuring new legendary items, changes being made to the game's seasons, the addition of empowered rifts and several other gameplay tweaks.

An official release date for patch 2.4.0 has yet to be announced.
