'Battlefield Hardline' DLC: What to expect from 'Getaway' expansion

The third expansion pack for "Battlefield Hardline" known as "Getaway" is set to arrive on Jan. 12, and the upcoming downloadable content (DLC) will be adding a lot of new elements to the game.

First off, fans can look forward to four new maps being added to "Battlefield Hardline" via the "Getaway" expansion, according to the game's official website.

The first of the four new maps is Diversion and it will be taking players deep underground as they attempt to execute a clean getaway while on foot.

Next up is Double Cross, and this new map will take players to the United States–Mexico border as they attempt to get the upper hand on one another while navigating an expansive locale.

The next map, Pacific Highway, will bring players to a new location reminiscent of central California as they yet again attempt to pull off a thrilling escape.

Finally, "Getaway" will also be transporting players to a quaint mountain town in Colorado while navigating the trains that go by in the new map known as Train Dodge.

Aside from four new maps, additional gameplay tweaks will also be introduced to "Battlefield Hardline" via the "Getaway" expansion.

The gameplay tweaks will mostly be related to the new maps themselves, and they figure to add intriguing elements to those new elements.

Examples of the new gameplay tweaks include players being given the ability to ride on top of the trains that appear every now and then in Train Dodge, Dual Shockers reported.

Diversion will also feature various elements that are not entirely accessible, and players will be able to leverage these to their advantage inside "Battlefield Hardline."

Apart from the new maps and gameplay tweaks, "Getaway" will also be adding a game mode known as Capture the Bag, as well as additional weapons, cars, and gadgets that players can try out inside "Battlefield Hardline."
