'Battlefield 5: Armageddon' rumors: Listing available on IMDb

 "Battlefield Hardline" official website

Details of the next "Battlefield" have supposedly been leaked in a most unusual way.

An IMDb listing, recently spotted by Reddit user Anarkipt, would seem to suggest that "Battlefield 5: Armageddon" is now currently in the works.

Anarkipt stumbled upon the listing purely by chance. Apparently, it was while going through Steve Jablonsky's IMDb page that Anarkipt just happened to notice that one of the composer's ongoing projects included the game in question, according to Gaming Bolt.

As for the listing itself, it does contain some interesting details that fans would want to know.

For example, a short synopsis of "Battlefield 5: Armageddon" is included in the listing. According to the synopsis, the game will supposedly focus on a soldier attempting to make his way home. The listing also mentions Japan as a possible location for the game, although it's unclear if the soldier in question is attempting to escape from the country, fighting for the country, or perhaps even trying to make it back to the country.

The IMDb listing also mentions a few names who are supposedly involved in "Battlefield 5: Armageddon" aside from Jablonsky. Currently, the listing suggests that Tyler James will be writing and directing the upcoming game. Names of some voice actors have also been mentioned, with Anton Pavel supposedly taking on the role of Aleski Chekovski; Alex Yu portraying Nathan Chang; and Henry Steven Pavel lending his voice to an unnamed Russian general.

Electronic Arts (EA) is also listed as the supposed producer of "Battlefield 5: Armageddon."

There's not much else in the way of details that can be extracted from the IMDb listing.

At this point, EA has not made anything official with regard to a new "Battlefield" game, and considering the construction of the listing, it can hardly be considered legitimate as well.

Fans will simply have to stay updated to learn more about the possible legitimacy of "Battlefield 5: Armageddon."
