A newly leaked trailer showing off snippets of the second season of "Attack on Titan" is hinting at a possible mystery that may figure prominently into the show's upcoming offering.

The new trailer is unofficial, which is likely the reason why it appears as though the footage was illegally captured instead of being intentionally premiered. The audio quality of the footage is also very spotty; but despite the obviously lacking qualities of the trailer, it does offer something in the way of valuable content that could be meaningful for the season ahead.

In the leaked trailer, fans will be able to catch a glimpse of Hanji Zoe in a confrontation with Pastor Nick, iDigital Times reported.

Apparently, Zoe discovered that a Titan was hidden inside the wall that surrounds the entire city. She also connects the dots and reaches the conclusion that Pastor Nick may know something about the Titans inside the wall, leading to their aforementioned confrontation.

Zoe decides to try to coax an answer out of Pastor Nick by letting him hang over the wall of the city. Pastor Nick refuses to reveal anything, however, and says that he would rather embrace death than speak about what he knows.

The footage continues with Zoe looking to find out if there may be more Titans that are hidden inside the wall, but there is no definite answer provided to this question, according to Geek Snack.

Aside from the scenes involving Zoe and Pastor Nick, fans will also be able to see Eren in the leaked trailer.

The trailer shows Eren as he wakes up, but there is no indication as to what happened before or what he will be facing on that day.

Fans will have to tune into the second season of "Attack on Titan" to find out more about him and the rest of the show's characters.

The second season of "Attack on Titan" is expected to premiere in 2016.
