The 2016 Honda Civic looks like it will be sporting a design that will be very familiar to plenty of car fans.

According to Torque News, the newest version of the Honda Civic appears to have taken at least some bit of inspiration from the ninth generation Civic Si and integrated it into its overall look.

The resemblance is, apparently, no accident either as it is believed to be Honda's attempt at trying to appeal to a larger market. The hope is that the familiar design of the 2016 Honda Civic may enable it to become more appealing, especially to consumers inside North America.

Aside from its reimagined look, the 2016 Honda Civic also features a host of different design elements that may allow it to draw the attention of more prospective buyers.

For one, it's not just the exterior of the car that has been altered to be more accommodating, as its interior has also been designed in a way so as to make it more appealing to consumers.

According to Consumer Reports, the car's cabin has been outfitted with better materials to provide more comfort, and it also comes equipped with a pass-through center console. People will also be glad to know that the latest version of the Honda Civic also comes with more rear-seat leg room for added comfort during travel.

As for what's under the hood of the 2016 Honda Civic, the car will be featuring a 2.0-liter four-cylinder base engine. Higher-trim models of the 2016 Honda Civic will be featuring something different, as they will be equipped with the turbocharged small displacement 1.5-liter Honda engine.

Certain versions of the newest Honda Civic will also be featuring Android Auto and Apple Car Play.

Some of the other important features of the 2016 Honda Civic have yet to be revealed, although they should be coming out soon.
