Four of the most popular Divas currently part of the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) will not be featured in "WWE 2K16."

The four Divas in question include Bayley, Becky Lynch, Charlotte, and Sasha Banks. Three of those four Divas are currently part of the WWE's main roster, while Bayley is currently starring in the WWE's developmental promotion, NXT.

The four women not being part of the game has predictably drawn the ire of some fans leading to the game's publisher, 2K, releasing a statement regarding the issue.

According to the company, there were efforts made to include the four women in the game, but for various reasons, they were not able to become part of the final roster. Unfortunately, no reason was given as to why the four Divas were ultimately not included in "WWE 2K16."

Fans who may be holding out hope that the four women will eventually be added to the game as downloadable content (DLC) had their hopes dashed as well as 2K has ruled this scenario out, Gamespot reported.

Interestingly enough, the statement from 2K included a line indicating that the company was not yet prepared to reveal the complete post-launch details of the game for now, but the vagueness of the message could mean just about anything at this point.

2K instead chose to tout the number of Divas that are in "WWE 2K16." There are currently 13 different Divas included in "WWE 2K16," which would be the most for any game from the franchise.

2K then went on to say that they are looking to feature the WWE Divas more in future iterations of the pro wrestling game franchise.

"WWE 2K16" will have the biggest roster of any game in the franchise's history at 120. As of now, it's unclear if more characters will be added in the future or if that number will stay the same for the entire life of the game.

"WWE 2K16" will be released on Oct. 27.
