UFC bantamweight champion TJ Dillashaw has opted to switch camps ahead of his UFC Fight Night 81 bout.

Dillashaw will now be training out of the Elevation Fight Team camp that calls Denver its home.

One of the reasons reportedly behind Dillashaw's decision to change camps is because he will now be compensated to train with the Elevation Fight Team.

According to MMA Fighting, Elevation Fight Team reportedly offered to pay Dillashaw to train with them. Traditionally, it works the other way around, with the fighters being the ones who would pay to train at a particular camp.

Dillashaw also has familiarity with the Elevation Fight Team, as he spent time at their camp while training for his earlier fights.

Money may not be the only reason for Dillashaw's move to Elevation Fight Team.

The UFC bantamweight champion has reportedly also decided to train in Denver in part to move closer to his striking coach Duane Ludwig, ESPN reported.

Ludwig previously trained Dillashaw while he was still part of his previous camp at Team Alpha Male, but the coach has since left the team. Ludwig's departure reportedly stemmed from his feud with Team Alpha Male member Urijah Faber.

Ludwig is not a full-time coach at Elevation Fight Team, although he is expected to work closely with Dillashaw prior to his UFC Fight Night 81 title clash with bantamweight contender Dominick Cruz.

Other fights on the UFC Fight Night 81 card include a lightweight bout between Eddie Alvarez and former 155-pound champ Anthony Pettis, according to MMA Mania.

There will also be a heavyweight fight between Travis Browne and Matt Mitrione. Last on the list of confirmed bouts for UFC Fight Night 81 is a middleweight tilt between Tim Boetsch and Ed Herman.

UFC Fight Night 81 will take place on Jan. 17 next year.
