Players who may have missed out on the closed beta for "Tom Clancy's The Division" may be getting a second chance later this month.
According to a post found on the official Facebook page of Xbox One Italy, there appears to be an open beta for "Tom Clancy's The Division" that is set to come out later this month.
The photo containing the details about the open beta cannot be seen on the page anymore, so there's a chance that it may have been taken down either because it's inaccurate or possibly because the information was not supposed to be revealed just yet.
Eurogamer was able to snag some of the important details from the missing post, and according to the website, the open beta for "Tom Clancy's The Division" will begin on Feb. 16.
The post also suggests that the Feb. 16 start date of the game's open beta applies only to Xbox One owners, although it is expected to be available on all platforms a day later.
The open beta for "Tom Clancy's The Division" is also expected to end on Feb. 21, according to the post.
Since the upcoming test is now expected to be an open beta, that would mean that more players will be given the opportunity to experience "Tom Clancy's The Division" for themselves.
While Ubisoft has yet to officially confirm that they will be conducting open beta testing for the game, doing so would actually make a lot of sense, according to Venture Beat.
As the website pointed out, conducting another test prior to the launch of the game in March would give its developers even more data that they can then use to spot potential issues.
"Tom Clancy's The Division" is one of the most anticipated releases of 2016, and nothing would disappoint players more than if its day one version proved to be plagued with problems.
An open beta for "Tom Clancy's The Division" is still unofficial at this point, but it could just be a matter of time before that changes.
"Tom Clancy's The Division" will be released on March 8.
