'The Sims 4' news: 'Get Together' expansion release date gets delayed

The upcoming "Get Together" expansion pack for "The Sims 4" is not arriving as soon as had been previously hoped.

Originally, the "Get Together" expansion pack for the game was scheduled to come out in November, Gamespot reported.

That's no longer the case now, as the expansion pack is not expected to come out for the game until Dec. 8. The said release date for the "Get Together" expansion pack has been confirmed only for North America, with the update expected to roll out to other parts of the world later that week, according to the game's official website.

The expansion pack has reportedly been delayed so that more finishing touches can be added to it. The game's official website indicated that fan feedback has also been taken into consideration, which could mean that they may be taking ideas from fans and possibly integrating that into the expansion pack, although that has not been confirmed.

The game's publisher and developer have yet to detail all the specific changes that will be made to the expansion pack coming to "The Sims 4," although they have provided indicators of what they intend to do.

Players will reportedly be able to experience something different when participating in the clubs that will be included in the "Get Together" expansion pack. The Upper Crusts will reportedly have their own private rooms at cafes, while spin masters will have their own places just to focus on honing their dance moves. Players can even designate specific spots for their clubs, thanks to the upcoming expansion pack.

Other features of the "Get Together" expansion pack that have been previously detailed include the addition of the new place known as Windenburg and the Sims also being given the chance to acquire DJ and dancing skills. It's unclear if these other aspects of the "Get Together" expansion pack will also be tweaked.
