A lot of fans of Pixar's animated movies are looking forward to what the studio has to offer in the coming months, and even years. Among these animated films is the sequel to "The Incredibles."

Those who enjoyed the first film are already eager to know what adventures and misadventures the superheroes from the Parr family will be up to in "The Incredibles 2." Well, it looks like they might have to wait a few more years to find out.

According to Movie News Guide, "The Incredibles 2" will not be released in theatres until 2019. Pixar has remained tightlipped about the exact date of the next "The Incredibles" movie.

Although details about the exact release date of "The Incredibles 2" remain quite scarce, there are already some exciting rumours about the plot of the upcoming Pixar animated film.

Citing a user named Professor_Wonder in social media site Reddit, Movie News Guide reported that the superhero family may have to fight their own in "The Incredibles 2," with Dash—the middle child with a great speed ability—being the next likely antagonist.

So why will Dash choose to turn against his family and go into the dark side in "The Incredibles 2"? The website said Dash may think that he will not be able to realise the immense potentials of his superpowers if he is constrained by the directions set by his parents.

A possible foreshadowing of Dash's shift to the dark side is a conversation with his mom, Mrs. Incredibles, in the original "The Incredibles," where she described her son as an incredibly competitive boy, but a bit of a show-off who does not need to be faced with temptation.

Whatever the next movie will be about, Movie News Guide also reported that upcoming sequel will take place 15 years after the original movie—meaning the Incredibles kids will be well in their teens and their parents a bit older.
