Ever since "The Incredibles 2" was first announced, among the most widely asked questions about it is when exactly it would be hitting cinemas.

For a while, the rumors were all over the place, but none of them seemed to really provide a concrete idea for when the highly anticipated film would finally arrive. Now, that's no longer the case.

Disney has just recently announced the release dates for 19 different movies going all the way through the year 2020, Variety reported.

Among those 19 films is "The Incredibles 2," and as of now, the specific release date for the movie is June 21, 2019, according to Comic Book. That release date, of course, is contingent on there being no major problems related to production. Although it has been announced for that date, there could always be adjustments made between now and then.

Given that the movie is still a few years away, there's still not a lot known about its story, which is currently being kept under wraps. Nevertheless, there have been rumors online that are helping give fans an idea of what to expect.

Among the most interesting rumors regarding "The Incredibles 2" concerns who might be the main villains in the new movie.

According to Australian Network News, two names that have been thrown around as potential villains for the upcoming movie are those of Jack-Jack and Edna Mode.

Jack-Jack was but a mere infant in the first installment of the franchise, meaning him being cast as one of the main villains of the sequel could also mean that the people behind the film have chosen to set the film a bit further into the future.

Such a development could also mean big changes will be in store for two of the younger heroes in the film as they too may have developed further in terms of their powers.

As of now, fans will just have to wait and see what "The Incredibles 2" will be when it hits cinemas in 2019.
