Samsung choosing to incorporate its 14 nm FinFET processed Exynos 7420 in the company's Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge was one of the best decisions that the firm could ever make. Now, it appears that the tech giant wants to expand future partnerships by incorporating its homegrown mobile chipsets in other devices. According to GSMDome, the latest GFXbench report suggests that TCL P650M, a smartphone featuring a screen size of 5.6 inches is allegedly running Samsung's Exynos 7580 chipset.

However, the surprising thing about Exynos 7580 is that it is running an octa-core processor at a far slower clock speed compared to the processor present in Exynos 7420. According to the benchmarking report, the octa-core processor is running at 1.6 GHz, with no details provided concerning the model name of the CPU. However, the low clock speed indicates that the processor will belong to Cortex-A53, since Cortex-A57 cores have always ran on higher clock speeds.

Other specifications from the report state that TCL P650M features a screen size of 5.6 inches that renders a 1080p resolution. Although no battery details have been mentioned, it can safely be assumed that the large form factor of the smartphone will allow the company to add a large battery pack at the rear end. Furthermore, the handset is running ARM Mali-T720 (information on how many cores are present have not been provided), along with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of on-board storage.

A 13 MP primary camera is present at the rear side of the device, along with a 5 MP front shooter which can record 1080p videos. A Bluetooth, and NFC chip are also present. Additional details report that P650M is currently running Android Lollipop 5.0.2.

It is still unclear as to why Exynos 7580 features a processor with a lower clock speed in contrast to Exynos 7420. When additional leaks are released in the near future, these details will be updated accordingly, along with statements from Samsung as well.
