The DLC characters coming to "Street Fighter V" will most likely not be released all at once.

In a recent 4Gamer interview with "Street Fighter V" producer Koichi Sugiyama, director Takayuki Nakayama and battle planner Ryuichi Shigeno that was translated into English by Shoryuken.com, the game's brain trust talked more about what fans can expect when it comes to the downloadable content (DLC) characters.

At one point in the interview, Sugiyama was asked about how the team would go about releasing the game's DLC characters.

In response, Sugiyama said that the current plan is to debut one new DLC character every one to two months.

There are currently six DLC characters confirmed for "Street Fighter V," so going by the plan mentioned by the game's producer, that would mean that all of the new additions would eventually become available after about a year.

It's worth noting the interval of one to two months currently a plan for now, so things could still change in the near future.

The one to two-month interval between DLC character releases could provide players with ample time to acquire enough Fight Money to unlock fighters as soon as they become available. According to WCCF Tech, the Fight Money currency required to unlock the DLC characters can be obtained through completing the game's Daily Challenges.

The game's producer also touched on how the team behind "Street Fighter V" eventually settled on their current collection of characters.

According to him, popularity and fighting styles factored heavily into the selection process, so as to provide fans with a roster they would like.

At one point in the conversation, the interviewer brings up the topic of "Street Fighter V" possibly having a story mode. Unfortunately, the game's director, Nakayama, did not confirm if there would be a story mode, and instead indicated that they are not yet ready to talk more about that topic.

"Street Fighter V" is currently scheduled to be released in February 2016.
