Samsung Tizen Z1 news: New Samsung smartphone running Tizen OS and LTE expected in the future

Samsung might have changed the stance of critics with the release of the company's Galaxy S6 duo, but reducing its dependency on Google through its own mobile operating system Tizen has brought little luck for the company. Nevertheless, Samsung will continue to push that luck by launching another Tizen based smartphone in the future, only this time, the upcoming handset will be featuring an LTE modem.

According to GSMDome, Z1, a smartphone belonging to Samsung's lineup of devices running the Tizen platform, is going to have another variant released in the foreseeable future, sporting an LTE modem. Details have not been providing concerning which Category the modem will belong to. According to the tech website, the leaked dimensions and button placement are exactly the same as Z1, indicating that the handset will be an upgraded version of the same mobile gadget.

So far, all of Samsung's Tizen running smartphones feature low-end hardware specifications, so consumers looking to purchase such a handset will be limited to options if they require a device that can deliver a lot of performance. Samsung Z1 came with a 4 inch screen rendering a resolution of 800 by 480 pixels. Additionally, it was running a Spectrum SC7727S SoC, coupled with 768 MB of RAM, and a Mali-400 GPU.

While Samsung has not confirmed the following, it is possible that the South Korean smartphone giant makes some slight changes in the hardware specs category. Since an LTE modem is expected to feature in the upcoming Tizen based smartphone, a faster processor and additional RAM will be beneficial when swift web browsing and fluid calling sessions are attempted to being executed by the user.

Unfortunately, that is all the information that is currently available about the handset. Once Samsung comes closer to showcasing its Galaxy Note 5, consumers will get to know more about the Tizen OS running smartphone.
