The new year is bringing in a new slate of games for players to look forward to, and January is already set to be a busy month for PlayStation 4 (PS4) owners.

First off is a game that is already available to PS4 users in "Amplitude." For those who may not know, "Amplitude" is a new rhythm-based game from Harmonix.

What makes "Amplitude" different from other rhythm-based games is that instead of instruments, players will be using ships to create the music. The game also features more than 30 different songs for players to master using their spaceships.

Next up, players can also look to get "Hardware: Rivals." Similar to "Amplitude," "Hardware: Rivals" is already available to PS4 owners, according to PlayStation Lifestyle. "Hardware: Rivals" is also available for free to PlayStation Plus subscribers.

In "Hardware: Rivals," players step into vehicles specially designed to deal as much destruction as they can. Players can then participate in online matches just to see how well they can smash their friends' cars in the game.

Also coming to PS4 this January is "The Witness." According to iDigital Times, "The Witness" provides players with a modern version of "Myst." "The Witness" is also full of difficult puzzles that players will have to figure out in order to progress deeper into the game.

"The Witness" is set to make its PlayStation 4 debut on Jan. 26.

PlayStation 4 owners looking for a more action-packed game can try out "Shadow of the Beast." In this game, players are thrust into the world of Karemoon and tasked with fighting through vicious hordes of enemies who are under the command of the diabolical Maletoth.

"Shadow of the Beast" will be released for PS4 on Jan. 27.

More news about the other games coming to PS4 in the coming months should be made available soon.
