The stars of the former reality series "Rich in Faith" told People that doctors advised them a long time ago that they would have a hard time conceiving. Infertility caused problems in their marriage, especially when both wanted to become parents. They had to struggle with plenty of disappointments.

The Vous Church pastor, however, reiterated that their marriage wasn't centered on having kids hence they continue to make their relationship work despite the setbacks. Wilkerson also told Christian Post that their fertility struggles pushed him and his wife to learn more about Jesus Christ.

"We learned that we are complete with or without a child," Wilkerson shared. "I'm just grateful that God decided to grant us this blessing," he added.

Baby Wyatt has since been giving his parents sleepless nights, but the Wilkerson can't complain about this tiny miracle. In a post on Instagram, DawnCheré shared that they are finding new inspirations with embracing each moment with their first-born.

The new mom also stated that she wouldn't change a thing in their journey through parenthood because it helped them grow as faithful servants and as a couple. Her husband, on the other hand, proclaimed that the baby is definitely worth the wait.

The pastor also shared some pieces of advice for couples struggling with fertility issues. He said feelings of inadequacy could impact one's self-esteem, but it's important to talk about these issues with someone. Wilkerson assured others going through this problem that they are not alone.

The Wilkersons married in 2006 and rose to prominence, especially among celebrities, in 2014. That same year, the couple also started their reality TV show, "Rich in Faith," which featured his ministry and family.
