Folks eager to learn more about NVIDIA's Pascal GP100 will want to tune in to the upcoming GPU Technology Conference that will be taking place in April.

Specifically, the event will start on April 4 and it will be held at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center in San Jose, California.

NVIDIA is currently expected to make an appearance at the event, and the tech company is also anticipated to reveal more about their eagerly anticipated flagship graphics processing unit (GPU) during the conference.

As it stands right now, there's a chance that NVIDIA may be revealing more than just the new specs and features of their upcoming offering, as they may even use the event to announce an official launch date for the GPU.

Recent reports surrounding NVIDIA's upcoming flagship GPU have suggested that units of it are now currently being ran through different examinations at the company's testing facilities in India.

With the GPU now in testing, it would seem that it is not all that far off from being completely ready.

For now, all that's known about NVIDIA's launch plans for the Pascal GP100 is that the company intends to release it sometime in the year, although they have thus far declined to provide a specific date.

Rumors surrounding the flagship GPU suggest that it will, in all likelihood, be made available to consumers sometime during the second half of 2016.

As for what NVIDIA's upcoming flagship GPU might have to offer, some of its main features may include having a total of over 17 billion transistors as well as the presence of a 4096-bit memory bus interface, according to WCCF Tech.

The upcoming flagship GPU from NVIDIA is also expected to feature a significant performance per watt improvement over Maxwell.

More news about NVIDIA's Pascal GP100 should be made available soon.
