'Metal Gear Online' PC beta back online

The PC beta for "Metal Gear Online" is now accessible yet again after a brief issue led to it being taken offline.

Konami took about 10 hours to finally address the bug that was ailing the game's beta.

Fans were initially caught off guard when Konami took the "Metal Gear Online" beta offline due to reasons that the company did not clarify right away.

Apparently, the initially mysterious exploit Konami was talking about involved a bug that allowed players to gain access to MB Coins inside the game for free, Kotaku reported.

MB coins inside "Metal Gear Online" are used to purchase a variety of different items. MB Coins are also purchased using real-world money.

The whole ordeal has not been taken well by a lot of players, according to Cinema Blend.

Still, even if some fans may not have been pleased by the notion that Konami took down the "Metal Gear Online" PC beta just so they could fix a bug related to the game's microtransactions, a lot of players are still likely pleased that the servers are now operational again.

PC players have waited a long time for "Metal Gear Online," as only console gamers are the only ones who have had access to it prior to the beta being launched this week.

The good news for players is that it looks as though Konami will continue to provide support for "Metal Gear Online." Konami has already previously expressed their plans to add new content to the game in the coming months, and the launch of the PC beta bodes well for players looking to stay engaged long term.

It's currently unclear just how long Konami plans to conduct beta testing for "Metal Gear Online," although an announcement from the company should arrive soon enough.

More news about "Metal Gear Online" should be made available soon.
