Hollywood producer Mark Burnett and his wife Roma Downey are expressing their gratitude now that their son, Cameron Burnett, is out of the hospital. The 20-year-old had a health scare several days ago that prompted Downey to seek prayers from her followers on social media.

Without mentioning any names, the star of "Touched By An Angel" posted on Instagram that a loved-one was ill and that she needed prayers. In a statement to People on Monday, the Christian TV producers confirmed their son is currently in recovery but further details surrounding his hospitalization have not been divulged.

A spokesperson also told the press that the family is grateful for the prayers and feel relieved that the UCLA hospital cleared Cameron to go home. Speculations were that Cameron's time in hospital may have been connected to a condition discovered four years ago.

In 2014, the family learned that Cameron, then 16, suffered from a brain tumor and needed surgery. His brother James shared that he was under the knife for nine hours but still managed to laugh when he woke up after his operation.

"They had to remove a growth in his pituitary gland which is located right under the brain, and has apparently been growing for the past ten years," James detailed.

Cameron and James are the multi-millionaire producer Burnett's sons with ex-wife Dianne. Mark, dubbed as the Father of Reality TV who made shows like "Survivor" and "The Apprentice," married Downey in 2007.

Their union remains deeply rooted in God. Aside from producing Bible-based films and TV shows together, such as "Son of God" and the miniseries "The Bible," the couple also often speak about their faith.

According to PBS, Mark grew up in a Presbyterian-Catholic home and reading the Bible was a familiar activity in the family. Downey, on the other hand, shared that she always had a strong faith in God even as an Irish Catholic child.

Last Wednesday, Downey once again took to Instagram to extend her thanks to fans for praying her in time of need. She stated that her family is "saying prayers of thanksgiving" over Cameron's recovery.
