Lumia Cityman, Talkman specs and features: Windows 10 smartphones details leaked

Microsoft's campaign currently lies in targeting budget smartphones with products like Lumia 430 and Lumia 530, which feature a price tag of $70 and $115 respectively. However, the software giant is also being rumored to switch tactics because two handsets that feature top-notch hardware specifications are expected to succeed the company's Lumia 930, which is the current flagship smartphone running the Windows operating system. Since both upcoming smartphones are going to be running Microsoft's Windows 10 platform, they will most likely be released during the month of October.

According to Unleash The Phones, the codenames of the upcoming Windows flagship handsets will be as follows:

  • Lumia Cityman
  • Lumia Talkman

Lumia Cityman will most likely be the top performer of the two since it will be featuring a 5.7 inch screen size, QHD resolution (1440p), and according to the website, an octa-core processor. The processor is an indication the chipset incorporated in the smartphone will be Qualcomm's Snapdragon 810, since that is the only high-end SoC that possesses an octa-core processor to be placed in a flagship handset. Lumia Talkman will be the second in command, featuring a 5.2 inch screen size and powered by a hexa-core processor. Since Snapdragon 808 runs an octa-core and is currently present in LG's G4, it is highly likely that the SoC will be present in the upcoming Windows running handset.

Both smartphones are expected to feature 3 GB of RAM, 32 GB of internal memory (with an option to expand that memory through a microSD slot) and a 20/5 MP rear and front camera sensor combo. With Lumia Cityman's large screen size, users can expect a battery size of 3,300 mAh, and a 3,000 mAh one for Lumia Talkman. While no official release date has been given concerning both smartphones, potential customers should keep an eye out during the month of October.

In addition to running Windows 10, both handsets will also receive the Redstone update, which is expected to make its way during June 2016.
