For an exceedingly long time, Microsoft has been targeting the mid-tier and entry level smartphone markets with devices such as Lumia 640, and Lumia 430 respectively. Now, the software giant has finally shifted a portion of its focus towards releasing handsets that feature impressive hardware specifications and innovative features. Earlier this year, two Lumia flagship handsets were given the codenames Talkman and Cityman according to an industry insider and will be expected to run Windows 10 out of the box.

Now, according to Phone Arena, both handsets are going to be incorporated with a Type-C USB connector; the same one that is present in Apple's MacBook Air 2015 and is rumored to be present in Galaxy Note 5 as well. While the purpose of a Type-C USB connector would be to use as both a fast-charging and data transferring cable, it is said that this particular connector and port will also be necessary to take advantage of the Continuum feature that will be present in Windows 10 later on in the form of an update.

Additionally, the website states that both handsets will also feature wireless charging capabilities coupled with an iris scanner. As for the remainder of the hardware specifications, both smartphones are expected to feature the following:

Lumia Talkman

  • Screen size: 5.2 inches
  • Resolution: 2560 by 1440 pixels
  • Chipset: Qualcomm Snapdragon 808
  • RAM: 3 GB
  • Internal storage: 32 GB with a MicroSD card slot
  • Camera sensors: 20 MP rear, 5 MP front
  • Battery: 3,000 mAh

Lumia Cityman

  • Screen size: 5.7 inches
  • Resolution: 2560 by 1440 pixels
  • Chipset: Qualcomm Snapdragon 810
  • RAM: 3 GB
  • Internal storage: 32 GB with a MicroSD card slot
  • Camera sensors: 20 MP rear, 5 MP front
  • Battery: 3,300 mAh

If both devices will be running Windows 10, then it means that they are going to be announced much later in the year. This is because Windows 10 is going to be announced for desktops and laptops, followed by smartphones and tablets, much to the disappointment of the crowd.
