The LG G5 could end up with an array of new features, including a secondary "ticker" display.

Recently, Venture Beat was able to speak to an unnamed source with knowledge of LG's plans, and according to the tipster, the G5 will combine features found in the V10 as well as design elements present in earlier G series models.

The source claimed that one of the features of the G5 would be the same secondary display that could also be found in the V10. It's also been suggested that the "ticker" display could end up being featured in a variety of devices that LG will be launching in 2016.

The LG G5 will also reportedly feature a dual-lens setup within its primary camera. The dual-lens setup will reportedly grant the camera a 135-degree wide angle view, which should help make it more attractive in the eyes of discerning consumers. The LG G5's main camera is also expected to offer up to 16 megapixels, while its secondary shooter will provide up to eight megapixels.

Recent rumors have also detailed what other specs and features the LG G5 might have.

According to NDTV, the rumors currently suggest that the upcoming LG phone will be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC. The new phone is also expected to have 3 GB of RAM coupled with 32 GB of internal storage.

It's currently not known if the LG G5 will continue to feature a microSD slot when it is eventually released.

The new LG phone will also reportedly feature a fingerprint sensor as well as an all-metal composition. The LG G5 is also expected to run the Android 6.0 Marshmallow right out of the box.

Folks interested in getting the LG G5 can reportedly expect the new phone to be launched sometime within the first quarter of 2016, although an exact date has yet to be announced.
