Derick and Jill Duggar from 19 Kids and Counting are now the proud parents of a healthy young boy named Israel David, and the couple cannot wait to experience the joys of parenthood.

"He's here! Israel David Dillard has made his arrival. He was born at 11:49pm on April 6, 2015. He weighed 9 lbs and 10 ounces and measured 23 inches long," they shared on the Dillard Family Blog. "We think he's adorable! Mom and baby are both doing wonderful. We are so thankful for his safe arrival and look forward to this great new journey called parenthood!"

Both Jill and Derick cannot help but gush about the little guy. In fact, Jill shared their first photo as a family on her Instagram account (@jillmdillard) and wrote, "So thankful to God for this handsome little guy!"

Derick shared a photo of their son on his Instagram account (@derickdillard) and captioned it, "It's so surreal to think we have a son! I love him so much!" He also shared the same family photo posted by Jill and said, "Jill and I welcomed little (big) Israel David into the world! 9lbs 10oz, 23 inches! Thank you Jesus!"

And big is right - Jill told PEOPLE that their son broke hospital records since he is the longest baby delivered this year. Back in 2014, there was only one baby delivered who was the same length as Israel David.

Because of his size, Jill and Derick had to ask their families and friends to purchase a new set of baby clothes because everything they have bought and prepared for Israel David, including all the onesies, sleepers, and diapers are just too small for him!

Derick is even joking that their son is ready to enter the National Football League (NFL). "Probably a tight end," he laughed.
