Baby Dilly won't be due until spring, but everybody around them, including Derick Dillard's coworkers from Walmart clearly cannot wait to meet the little boy as they threw a surprise baby shower for him and his wife Jill Duggar.
Derick shared the special moment on his Instagram account (@derickdillard) with a photo featuring the couple surrounded by friends and gifts. "Thank you to my awesome team at work for putting on an unforgettable baby shower for Jill and me!" he captioned the photo.
The simple gathering, which was attended by some of Jill's family members and Derick's coworkers showed the couple surrounded by baby gifts, which included clothes, baby diapers, a baby basket, and other baby goodies.
Jill and Derick have some of the most unusual items on their Walmart baby gift registry, including sodas and Gatorade.
"Derick said we should put Dr. Pepper on there, because if you have late nights, you have to have caffeine," Jill earlier told PEOPLE. "And I told him, 'I like Fanta,' so he put that on there and some Gatorade, as well."
Jill added that they picked some traditional baby items too, and that they tried their best being practical in their decision-making process.
"We tried to think practical... I came from a large family and my mum used to think – when I'm buying, do I want to go with one theme or be more practical? We are trying to think of gender neutral stuff, trying to think longterm," she said.
But as far as practicality goes, Jill and Derick's mothers are having none of it. "The grandmas are really excited," Jill sid of her mum Michelle, 47, and Derick's mom Cathy, 57. "They are thinking of all the things that a baby should have. Derick's mum gave us two car seats that strap to a suitcase when you are travelling. She said, 'I'll give you two in case you are having twins.' "
