Jill Duggar from 19 Kids and Counting has finally given birth to her and Derick Dillard's first born son on April 6, and they have named him Israel David.

Baby Dilly weighs nine lbs and 10 oz., measures 23 inches in length, and arrived around 11:49 p.m. Monday night, according to PEOPLE.

Jill and Derick initially planned on having a home birth with a team of midwives to help them, but their plans changed at the last minute and Israel David was born in a hospital.

"Not everything went as expected so we are reminded about the Bible verse that talks about where man plans his way but the Lord directs his steps. We're encouraged by that," said Jill in a video the family took of them. In it, Jill is sitting in the hospital bed with Derick by her side and she is cradling Israel David, whom she describes as a "handsome little fellow."

Her parents Jim Bob and Michelle were earlier asking fans to pray with them for Jill's safe delivery. They prayed that they would have both a "healthy momma and a healthy baby," and it looks like they got just that.

"Our sweet new grandson, Israel David Dillard is here. We love him so much already and we love his name! Our Jill is doing wonderful and Derick seems to have a permanent smile on his face now!" they wrote.

The doting grandparents feel blessed with the newest addition to their family, and they cannot help but be thankful for the "sweet baby."

"Israel is precious and his arrival is just another reminder of how very precious life is and how every child is a gift from God. We are happy grandparents!" they added.

First-time mother Jill actually set two due dates for her son's arrival - March 24 and April 5. Israel David came 13 days later than the original due date, and a day later than the second one.
