"Jill and Jessa: Counting On" star Jessa Seewald is no stranger to criticisms and controversies. When the reality star recently posted about her family trip to the new Christian attraction Ark Encounter in Kentucky, bashers wasted no time in reprimanding her and other Christians for not using their resources wisely.

On her Instagram account (@jessaseewald), the former "19 Kids and Counting" star posted a photo of the Ark Encounter with several buses lined up in front of the structure. Seewald did not write a caption, but simply shared a happy emoji with heart eyes and several clapping hands.

Several commenters wrote that the Ark Encounter was "ridiculous," while some noted that the money used to build the life-sized Noah's Ark should have been used instead to help those in need.

"How stupid and what a [waste] of resources that could [have been] used to help others," an angry fan writes. "How Christian of you, [taking] good building supplies, money, and time and then create a stupid boat when there [are] thousands of homeless people in our country."

Another commenter agrees, writing, "How much did this unnecessary monstrosity cost? I wish Christians would spend money on actually helping people or spreading the true Christian story. Who needs to relive the ark? One of the reasons protestant Christianity came into being was in response to irresponsible spending by the Catholic church (and many more). What does this look like to you? I hope many lives are transformed by taking a tour through this massive waste of resources."

Meanwhile, a netizen fumed about the stipulation made by Answers in Genesis founder Ken Ham to have unwed employees of the Ark Encounter sign contracts saying they disavow homosexuality and premarital sex. The netizen also had a lot of questions concerning the "absurdity" of Noah's Ark.

"How did Noah and those animals survive the freezing oxygen-deprived environment that 29,000 ft. of water would bring? How did Noah sustain an environment for both polar bears and camels to live?" he asked. "Where is the evidence of this mass extinction? How did they deal with the diseases that [were] sure to happen in such a densely packed ship? Two individuals of a species [are] NOT enough to sustain that species."
