iPhone 7 Plus rumors: New phone to offer 256 GB internal storage?

The new line of iPhones might feature a significant increase in terms of their internal storage options.

According to MyDrivers and as reported on by Mac Rumors, the iPhone 7 Plus might feature as much as 256 GB of internal storage.

Unfortunately, the rest of the specifics were not detailed, and it's unclear if Apple is changing things in terms of what the new phone might feature when it comes to its other internal storage offerings.

Apple could decide to scale things up even further when it comes to their internal storage options for the iPhone 7 Plus by also offering 32 GB and 128 GB variants, though this remains unconfirmed.

Aside from reports of the iPhone 7 Plus providing larger internal storage options, the latest rumors also suggest that the new phone could have improved battery life when it is eventually released.

The upcoming phone could feature a 3,100 mAh battery upon release, which would represent about a 12 percent increase over the one found in the iPhone 6S Plus.

Rumors of the iPhone 7 Plus featuring a larger battery could also translate to the new phone being equipped with higher end specs, although until Apple says anything official, folks will have to wait to find out for sure.

According to 9to5 Mac, insufficient battery life has been a frequent source of frustration among Apple device users, so even rumors of the company seeking to improve things for their next line of smartphones should come as welcome news to those who have struggled with the issue before.

Unfortunately, the changes to the storage options and the battery of the iPhone 7 Plus are just rumors for now, and they may remain so for a while.

Apple has yet to talk openly about their 2016 lines of smartphones. In fact, they may not reveal more details for a while, as the iPhone 7 Plus as well as the other upcoming devices from that series are not expected to debut until the fall.
