iPad Air 3 release date: early 2016 for rumored tablet?

 Apple Store

The iPad Air 3 was one of the products that people widely expected to arrive from Apple by this year, but with 2015 winding down to a close, people are now questioning whether it may even be released at all.

Despite absolute silence from Apple and the recent release of the iPad Pro, the belief is that the iPad Air 3 is still coming sometime soon, the exact timeline, however, is unknown.

One reason to believe that the iPad Air 3 is still on its way is that the iPad Air 2 will be needing a replacement sometime soon, and that would most likely open up a spot in the market just waiting for Apple to make the most out of.

According to Latin One, there is now a belief that the iPad Air 3 will be released early on next year, with some even predicting a March arrival. Still, with Apple revealing nothing to this point, people can only guess at what the launch date can be.

The only thing that appears certain for now is that if there is an iPad Air 3 in development, it will in all likelihood not arrive in time for this year, especially given how few days are left on the calendar.

Although the official launch date of the iPad Air 3 remains uncertain, there are still rumors about its specs and features emerging online.

According to Tech Radar, one of the things likely to change with the iPad Air 3 is its screen size. Rumors suggest that the new tablet could feature a screen that has only been slightly enlarged up to 9.7 inches, while some are also predicting a more significant bump, taking the display all the way to 12 inches.

The iPad Air 3 is also expected to feature the latest processor available from Apple, and there's a chance it could wind up with the A10 chip at launch.

More news about the iPad Air 3 are expected before the end of the year.
