A new video for "Halo 5" is giving players more insight into the ultimate fate of Master Chief.

Previously, a commercial released for game's fifth installment indicated that Master Chief was dead in "Halo 5," but now, it appears such is not exactly the case.

A more recently released commercial for the game has just revealed that Master Chief is not dead, and that he has instead chosen to go rogue, according to Gamespot.

As it turns out, Spartan Locke, the other main character pivotal to "Halo 5," is on the trail of Master Chief and he is receiving assistance from the members of Fireteam Osiris.

Not much else was revealed in the new video aside from teasing the upcoming conflict between Spartan Locke and Master Chief, although more details are expected soon.

For those looking to find out more about the story of "Halo 5," they can catch up by listening to the "Hunt the Truth" series of podcasts dedicated to revealing more interesting details about the game. The second season of the podcast series has just been recently released, so there will be quite a bit of content for fans to catch up on if they haven't been staying up-to-date.

In related news, the developer of "Halo 5," 343 Industries, is now giving fans a closer look at the new Covenant vehicles included in the game, according to Softpedia.

Some of the vehicles in the game have been updated with new technology, and that is reflected in their new appearances and capabilities.

For example, the Banshee now features a new look along with a solid integral energy field that should come in handy during the heat of battle. The Ghost has also undergone a bit of a redesign in order to help it perform better inside "Halo 5." Other redesigned vehicles in the game include the Phantom and the Wraith.

"Halo 5" will be released on Oct. 27.
