With Thanksgiving in full swing and Christmas season starting not too long after that, it's that time of the year again when online games get a helping of seasonal downloadable content (DLC), and one title that is rumored to receive some new items is "Grand Theft Auto Online."

In recent days, rumors of the game receiving some holiday-themed content have made the rounds online and they are coming from some well-regarded resources.

First, according to noted "Grand Theft Auto" tipster "FunMW2," the game is indeed in line to receive new content for the holiday season. According to "FunMW2," this year's Christmas-themed DLC may not even be a standalone arrival as it could be bundled together with the second part of the "Lowriders" DLC for "Grand Theft Auto Online." The tipster suggests that this would not be any different from earlier content that was released alongside Halloween-themed DLC.

As for what players can actually expect to find in the Christmas DLC for the game, another noted name in "Grand Theft Auto" leaks weighed in with his own predictions. According to MrBossFTW, the holiday-centric pack for the game is likely to contain some new vehicles for players to use. More specifically, he predicts that snow cars will be included in the holiday pack, Yibada reported.

The holiday-themed DLC is also expected to arrive just in time for Christmas, with the most likely arrival dates being set at around Dec. 18 to 20, according to MrBossFTW and as reported by iDigital Times.

The release window should give players enough time to enjoy all the new "Grand Theft Auto Online" content as they also relax on their Christmas breaks.

Interestingly enough, there is belief that the game's Christmas DLC will also only enjoy a limited run. Jan. 4 is currently being tabbed as the possible expiration date for the items that will also be featured in the game's Christmas DLC.
