Franklin Graham disagrees with Pope Francis, says world is facing a war of religion

Pope Francis has declared "the world is at war," but he acknowledged that it isn't one of religion, but one of domination and greed for money and natural resources.

Rev. Franklin Graham agrees that the world is indeed at war. However, he disagrees with Pope Francis when the latter said it was not a war of religion.

"It is most certainly a war of religion," the evangelist points out on his Facebook page. "Religion is behind the violence and jihad we're seeing in Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and here in this country. It's a religion that calls for the extermination of 'infidels' outside their faith, specifically Jews and Christians."

"It's a religion that calls on its soldiers to shout 'Allahu Akbar' ('God is Great' in Arabic) as they behead, rape, and murder in the name of Islam. Radical Islamists are following the teachings of the Quran. We should call it what it is," Graham continues.

Concern over 'After School Satan Clubs'

Meanwhile, Graham is also concerned that "After School Satan Clubs" might soon be coming to elementary schools all across America. The initiative is supported by the Satanic Temple, a group that claims it does not worship Satan but stands up for secularism.

"We are already seeing the devastating effects of secularism everywhere. These self-proclaimed political activists are open about the fact that they're really just trying to counter the success of Christian clubs such as the 'Good News Clubs' that have spread across America," says Graham.

Graham is praying that these people will open their eyes to the truth of the Gospel, and learn how to come to Jesus. Even the most helpless atheists can still find love in God, and Graham says the Apostle Paul is a good example of this.

"No one is beyond the reach of God's love and mercy," says Graham. "Before he came to faith, the Apostle Paul was once the greatest enemy and persecutor of the church."
