'Five Nights at Freddy's 4' news: Mangle may be making a comeback

Halloween is just around the corner, and that's as good a time as any to try out scarier titles such as "Five Nights at Freddy's."

As fans might expect, there's a special treat in store for them in the game that they can look forward to during the scariest day of the year, and this time around, they may be getting a really frightening treat.

According to Attack of the Fanboy, a new teaser for "Five Nights at Freddy's 4" Halloween update would suggest that there is a new nightmarish figure waiting for players when they play the game on that day.

Fans first learned about this possibility through the teaser that was posted by the game's creator on its official website. Fans who will go to the website will see a simple message saying "Come Hang Out" and also the date of Oct. 31. At first, that appears to be all that there is to it, but upon shining a light on the message, there looks to be a frightening secret lurking in the background.

When light is shone upon the message, players will be able to see a monster, and a familiar one at that. The monster in question is none other than Mangle, the same creature that terrorized players in "Five Nights at Freddy's 2."

Mangle is a horrifying figure characterized by sharp teeth body parts that are not where they should be and this monster appears to be the surprise guest coming in the Halloween update to "Five Nights at Freddy's 4."

Interestingly enough, according to Design and Trend, Mangle should not be able to show up in "Five Nights at Freddy's 4" given the timeline of the franchise.

The Halloween update appears to be an exception however, as that's the one time where the official timeline of the franchise is not taken into account and the focus is just on delivering a good scare.
