'Fallout 4' DLC release date: When will the long-awaited DLC launch?

"Fallout 4" Bethesda Softworks

"Fallout 4" has been out for a while now, and yet, substantial downloadable content (DLC) has been absent, leaving fans to speculate about what kind of extra goodies might eventually be featured.

As of now, new content for "Fallout 4" has been limited to some minor features being added via patches and inventive tweaks introduced to the game coming courtesy of player-made mods, but actual Bethesda-made DLC has been non-existent.

It's unclear exactly why it has taken this long for Bethesda to announce anything new when it comes to the game's upcoming DLC, but that figures to change soon enough.

Recently, Bethesda announced via Twitter that they would be holding their Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) press conference in Los Angeles on June 12. It's currently unclear if Bethesda will also be holding their press conference inside the Los Angeles Convention Center, since E3's activities inside that venue are not expected to start until June 14.

Bethesda has also yet to announce exactly what they will be talking about during the press conference, although it's a fair bet that "Fallout 4" will be one of the topics.

Still, it may not even take until June for Bethesda to finally release the first batch of DLCs for "Fallout 4." According to Neurogadget, there's a chance that the initial wave of "Fallout 4" DLCs may even be released before the end of March.

As for what kind of goodies might be included in "Fallout 4's" DLC, fans also have some ideas regarding that.

Ever since players first got hold of the game, they have been exploring every nook and cranny of the Wasteland to discover any kind of secret it may be hiding.

As it turns out, there may indeed be some hidden secrets, and they may be found at the bottom of the ocean. Numerous players have already ventured deep into "Fallout 4's" open seas and they have discovered a wealth of mysterious items lurking beneath the waves.

According to N4BB, if Bethesda is planning to add underwater content to the game, then it may come in the form a new vault or even an entire city.

Mystery continues to envelop "Fallout 4's" DLC for now, although things could change fairly soon.
