'Fallout 4' mods: Having a Deathclaw companion is possible

"Fallout 4" Bethesda Softworks

The "Fallout 4" world is ripe for modding, and some intrepid gamers have already provided their own personal touches to the game.

One of the more interesting mods comes from a player who goes by the name "BOTLANNER," and the addition can truly change the way people make their way through the vast wasteland of "Fallout 4."

The mod, aptly named "Creature Follower," allows players to choose from a variety of different animals, mutants, and robots and then have one of those follow them as their personal companion, according to Game Rant.

Players can choose to have powerful creatures such as Deathclaws accompany them or they can even go in an entirely different direction and opt to have cats go with them as they make their way through the wasteland, although it's worth noting that the cats will not be able to fight.

All of the other companions to choose from using the mod can engage in battles along with the player, although they will not be available for conversations and romantic relationships.

There are other companion mods that players can try out inside "Fallout 4."

For example, those who may be sick of traveling with only one dog inside the game can now have an entire pack of dogs accompanying them on their travels, according to Mashable.

Another mod for "Fallout 4" can also replace the Radroaches inside the game with Mole Rats, which would be a welcome change to those who are openly hostile toward the unseemly critters.

Recently, one "Fallout 4" mod drew the ire of Major League Baseball (MLB) after it featured a Boston Red Sox uniform bearing the name of David Ortiz inside the game, Polygon reported.

MLB claims that the uniform infringes on their rights, although the mod's creator, Richie Branson, claims he has made no profits from it.
