"Fallout 4" can sometimes be a challenging game, and it can difficult enough at times that players may even think about using a few cheats to get ahead.

While the challenge of playing "Fallout 4" is a big part of the entire experience, it's also nice to get a little help every now and then, and with that in mind, there are some so-called cheats that can be used to make the game easier to handle.

First off, "Fallout 4" players on personal computer (PC) may want to look to mods in terms of finding unfair ways to get ahead in the game. A lot of mods available for the game are often silly and at times only impact "Fallout 4's" visuals, but there are also rare examples that can really make it easier.

One example of a game-breaking mod is the "Any Mod Any Weapon" offering created by a player with the username "LucasGod," Games Radar+ reported.

The mod itself is pretty straightforward, as it allows players to attach any kind of mod to any kind of weapon. This means that players can now create weapons that are stronger than what the game may have originally intended, thus making combat easier inside "Fallout 4."

Another so-called cheat that was discovered early on in "Fallout 4" is actually an exploit that allowed players to extract infinite caps and even items from the vendors in the game. The caps glitch has since been patched, but according to some players, there's still a way to utilize the exploit.

According to the Reddit thread that has since been reported on by the Bitbag, what players can do is to erase the current "Fallout 4" game file and then proceed to reinstall it. Doing so would bring back the original version of the game file, which is the one that still permits the caps exploit to be used.

Players who decide to do this should also disable the auto-updating feature of the game so that the caps exploit remains usable.

Deleting and then reinstalling the "Fallout 4" game file will reportedly not affect any save files, although players are still advised to back up using USBs just to be safe.

If all goes well, then players can yet again enjoy having plenty of caps inside "Fallout 4."
