Donald Trump gets 'prophetic prayer' from Christian teacher who likens him to Cyrus, God's anointed leader

Christian speaker and teacher Lance Wallnau has given Donald Trump a "prophetic prayer" through the latter's attorney Michael Cohen, saying he believes God has given the Republican presidential candidate "an anointing for the mantle of government."

The prayer, which he shared on his Facebook page through a video, shows Wallnau leading the prayer event in North Carolina as a large number of believers raise their hands in the air.

"My dear Michael Cohen," Wallnau tells Trump's lawyer in the video. "I am here with a group of people that are praying for and encouraging Mr. Donald Trump. These are the tribe; would you all encourage him!"

The crowd cheers, and Wallnau continues: "God has given this man an anointing for the mantle of government in the United States and he will prosper."

According to Wallnau, God wants him to read Isaiah 45:1 since the verse will declare "who the 45th President of the United States should be."

The verse reads: "This is what the Lord says to His anointed, Cyrus, whose right hand I have grasped to subdue nations before him, as I strip kings of their armour, to open doors before him and gates that cannot keep closed."

"I told them my experience and asked them to consider standing behind Mr. Trump as he continues to step into the role of a rough reformer like Luther to take on the political and establishment high places," Wallnau says. "He needs to continue his work as a divine wrecking ball to the spirit of political correctness that has been like witchcraft muzzling and intimidating the Christian community."

Wallnau notes that there are several other presidential hopefuls who are more evangelical. But in his opinion, Trump "fears God as best he knows Him and he is the only Cyrus I see fulfilling Isaiah 45 for the 45th President."

Wallnau was among a group of 30 clergymen who met with Trump last month at his New York City tower. Other prosperity teachers who were invited included Kenneth Copeland, Paula White and Jan Crouch.
