'Diablo 3': Game's latest patch causing problems for console players

"Diablo 3's" patch 2.4 was supposed to be a welcome addition to all fans of the game, but it looks as though console players are not exactly having a good experience with the recent changes.

Recently, more than a few "Diablo 3" console players have taken to the game's official forums to talk about some of the problems they've been having since the latest patch was released.

For the most part, players have been complaining about frame rates dropping as well as lagging.

These same issues were, apparently, not present inside "Diablo 3" prior to patch 2.4 being introduced.

Some players have also reportedly tried the old trick of simply resetting the console, while some have also tried turning it on and off again, with both methods similarly yielding no positive results, NDTV reported.

Blizzard has heard the complaints, although it appears they need to know more about it before they can act accordingly.

According to Blizzard community manager Andrew Kauz, they have thus far been unable to "reproduce" the issues that players are talking about.

Kauz has since requested "Diablo 3" console players to detail some information that can be used to help pinpoint and eventually solve the problem.

Players are currently being asked to indicate what console they are using; what region they are in; the class of their character; the skills they have been using; whether they are playing on their own or in a party; whether or not the issues specifically pop up in certain locations; if the issues also affect the game's menu; more detailed descriptions of the problems; and any other bit of info that players think may be relevant.

Associate community manager Brandy Camel has also indicated that the amount of storage space left on the console may also be affecting the performance of "Diablo 3," GameSpot reported.

Players are also being asked to detail exactly how much space is still available on their consoles and if they are experiencing problems with "Diablo 3."

More news about "Diablo 3" should be made available soon as Blizzard continues to work on the current issues.
