Ciara knows that her son Future Zahir Wilburn is a gift from God. When the youngster celebrated his second birthday recently, the singer posted a black and white photo of her carrying her son when he was much younger on her Instagram account (@ciara), accompanied with a sweet message thanking God for blessing her life with a child.

"It was just yesterday I was holding you in my arms like I am in this photo. Now my angel baby boy is 2 years old!! Running around, talking up a storm, learning fast and getting into everything! It has truly been the best life experience watching you grow!" she writes. "I am so grateful to God for you, and I can't wait to see all the many other amazing things He has in store for you! Mommy loves you soooo much! #HappyBirthday to my prince, Future Zahir."

Ciara's fiance Russell Wilson, who plays for the Seattle Seahawks, also thanked God for his soon-to-be stepson when he commented on the singer's post.

"Watching him grow over the past year and a half has been [one of] the most fulfilling and special things I've ever been around. He gets the purest and the sweetest love from you and to watch you be the woman and mom you are ALL the time," Wilson writes. "He is so blessed to have you hold him and hug him and love him with so much pure and real love that he will have no limits to what God has in store for him."

It seems like Wilson is really excited to become one family with Ciara and Future since he adds, "You both bring me pure joy and I can't wait to see him grow more and more into the loving, caring, kind-hearted man that he will be ... 2 years old! Wow! God is good!"

Future Zahir is the son of hip-hop artist Nayvadius DeMun Wilburn, best known for his stage name Future. He and Ciara were engaged to be married back in October 2013, but their relationship took a nosedive after Ciara gave birth to little Future on May 19, 2014. She eventually called off their engagement in August that same year.

Meanwhile, Ciara started dating Wilson in early 2015. The two made the news when they announced that they made a celibacy pact. They got engaged on March 11, 2016. They have not announced when they will tie the knot.
