'Bloodborne' 1.03 patch update release end of month

The Japanese studio of Sony Computer Entertainment finally announced that the next patch for "Bloodborne" is set to come out later this month. The announcement came after the game studio acknowledged its wide success in the market, having sold more than a million copies all over the world in less than a month.

According to the statement published in the official PlayStation Blog, the 1.03 update aims to lessen the specific load times of the new action-role playing game, as well as increase its performance.

"The patch also resolves an issue that resulted in abnormal game behavior after many continuous hours of play," the blog post stated.

This could be the studio's way of correcting the bug that affects the game after leaving it on for about 12 hours.

The announcement also claims that the From Software team is busy working on the patch, and it will be released globally before the end of April. There are no further details given about the 1.03 patch, but to please fans, the game developer claims that they will be unveiling more details about it very soon.

Sony also reminded "Bloodborne" players that the online play will have to be disabled for a while to make room for the server-side updates. It means that a possible scheduled online downtime could happen in line with the release of the "Bloodborne" patch.

The game studio has also "determined that starting at 1am PT on a non-Friday weeknight will disrupt the fewest players. We will target this time for any necessary future server maintenance downtime, which will only last a couple hours in each instance."

"Bloodborne" was first announced during the game studio's panel at the Electronic Entertainment Expo 2014, and was dubbed by Game Informer readers in January as the most anticipated game of 2015. It is also one of the most critically acclaimed games since its release in March.
