The downloadable content (DLC) pack coming to "Batman: Arkham Knight" in January will be bringing back some fan-favorite maps from earlier parts of the series.

Fans played a huge role in the composition of the upcoming January DLC pack, dubbed as Community Challenge, as they were the ones who ultimately decided which maps from earlier games such as "Batman: Arkham Asylum" and "Batman: Arkham Knight" would be featured in the predator and combat modes of the current game.

According to Gamespot, Rocksteady reportedly had to go through more than 800 responses, but the developer has finalized its list of maps that will be coming to "Batman: Arkham Knight."

Starting with the maps to be featured in predator mode, fans will soon be able to try out the Batcave and Wayne Manor Main Hall from "Batman: Arkham City," while the Sanatorium, Medical Facility will be included from "Batman: Arkham Asylum."

Moving on to combat mode, two of the maps chosen for this one will be from "Batman: Arkham City," and those will be the Iceberg Lounge and Monarch Theatre. The other map to be featured is Crime Alley and that originates from "Batman: Arkham Knight."

Aside from introducing the new maps to "Batman: Arkham Knight," the Community Challenge Pack will also be adding another Augmented Reality (AR) challenge, which would be the seventh one for the game, according to PlayStation Lifestyle.

Continuing the theme of fan feedback, the seventh AR challenge for the game has also been constructed with help from the suggestions of the players. Rocksteady has not officially announced exactly what this AR challenge will be, although they did reveal that one fan suggestion calling for an "endless survival predator map" proved interesting to them, and the studio indicated that a version of that will be available in January.

An exact release date for the Community Challenge pack has not been announced, and it is also unclear if it will be part of "Batman: Arkham Knight's" season pass.
