Aspiring country singer Amy Duggar King—who is also known as the "rebel Duggar cousin" of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar's brood from "19 Kids and Counting"—revealed on her social media page recently that she has to abide by certain "rules" before hanging out with her cousins.

When King posted a photo of herself on her Instagram account (@amyrachelleking) wearing a "Gilmore Girls" sweatshirt. One curious fan asked, "I have a question for you. Since your cousins don't watch TV, do they ever come over to your house and stay for a night?"

King candidly replied, "Hey there! We've had a girls' night before and have gone out to eat. It's a rule though that if I want to spend quality time with them I have to come see them. They don't want me to influence them. So I respect their standards and I don't fuss about it."

At first, King was admittedly bothered by the rules, but she had a change of heart. "I realized that I just live knowing that God gives us grace," she added. "I can only be myself and even though we don't see eye to eye on every little thing we are still family and I do still love them."

King made headlines back in January 2015 when she admitted that she was born out of wedlock. There have been other things that King chose to do her way instead of adhering to Jim Bob and Michelle's strict set of rules for their own children, such as wearing revealing clothing and drinking alcohol. She also did not get into a "courtship" stage with her husband Dillon King prior to marrying him last September.
