Kevin LeVar releases Lets Come Together' deluxe edition

Following the success of Kevin LeVar’s 2008 debut album, Let’s Come Together, God Glorified Music and Habakkuk Music has released Let’s Come Together (Deluxe Edition) - an all-new expanded version.

The enhanced version includes four new songs plus a bonus DVD filled with extra content, including music videos, live concert and television performances, exclusive interview footage, Forgive & Live Campaign information and much more.

The songs on Let’s Come Together (Deluxe Edition) intertwine to tell LeVar’s own story of trusting in the Lord, while simultaneously encouraging listeners to fully embrace their God ordained destiny. LeVar’s extraordinary journey started with a revelation that he was indeed destined to a life of ministry during one of Bishop TD Jakes’ church services.

Eventually landing a record deal, LeVar was well on his way to taking his message of hope around the world. Following the release of his 2008 debut, the music video for LeVar’s first single “You Are Not Alone” shot to No 1 on GMC and earned a 2009 GMC Video Award “Best Video” nomination.

It was the powerful message behind LeVar’s next single that propelled him to the forefront of Gospel music. “A Heart That Forgives” took on a life of its own, with letters, emails and personal testimonies pouring in from across the globe describing how the song had affected those that had heard it.

This music video also shot to No 1 at GMC, earning a 2010 GMC Video Award “Best Video” nomination. On YouTube, the music video has received over 120,000 views with a live performance clip from 100 Huntley Street receiving over 155,000 views, making the clip the 3rd most viewed video in the show’s 33 year history (only clips featuring pop sensation Justin Bieber and an American Idol finalist rank higher).

The power of “A Heart That Forgives,” which is included on the new release along with a new acoustic version, has started a movement to inspire one million acts of forgiveness. The Forgive & Live Campaign will kick off this fall with the goal of restoring families, repairing friendships, strengthening communities and empowering people through the simple act of forgiveness.

LeVar’s integrity shines through from start to finish throughout Let’s Come Together (Deluxe Edition). Ultimately, the singer-songwriter hopes that this collection will inspire those that listen to build bridges, not only to non-Christians, but also to believers who have yet to align their agendas.

“The body of Christ needs to galvanise to reach the world and that means really closing the gap between races within the body of Christ,” he boldly offers.

“It’s my prayer that Let’s Come Together can create harmony on all levels, especially when you think of harmony in musical contexts and the fact it takes two different notes to have harmony.

"If it’s just the same note over and over, that’s only an octave, but when it’s two, three or four different voices, it’s a beautiful harmony and that’s how I liken it to when we all get to heaven, regardless of what we might look like on earth.”
